Jiu-jitsu forCocoa Beach
From Cocoa Beach you cross the Banana River and you are here — close enough that plenty of our students train in the evening and are back on the beach side before dark.
Cocoa Beach onthe mats
A beach town runs on seasons, and training is one of the few things that does not. Our Cocoa Beach students tend to use the mats as the constant — the thing that carries on through a busy summer and a quiet January, when the surf is flat and the tourists have gone.
Why surfers take to it
Balance, comfort upside down, and a high tolerance for being held under pressure — the crossover from surfing to grappling is real, and we see it every time somebody from the beach side walks in. The people who paddle out at dawn tend to be the ones who cope best with their first hard round.
